- Whos Blur -

Blur is a band from the bripop era. The members include: Damon Albarn(the singer), Graham Coxon(The guitarist and backround singer), Alex James(the bassist) and Dave Rowntree(the drummer). The band was founded when Damon came up to Graham in Stanway School and said "Youre shoes are crap mine ar propper" (no i did not make that up). The 2nd time they bumped into each other was when Damon needed a sax player and Graham was the only one in the school who played the saxaphone.They began making music together when they invited Dave and Alex. They reliesed their debut album in 1991 Leisure.

Their second album modern life is rubbish (1993) was when they began to really gain traction.After the sucess of modern life is rubbish they created parklife one of thier sucsesfull albums in terms of britan. The album featured songs like parklife and girls and boys. According to the memburs it was also the most stressfull albums as they where going betweeen work and sleep. The Great escape (september 1994)was when the band became well known with oasis. Oasis was also gaining traction at the time and where gonna reliese roll with it but when Damon Albarn saw that he moved country houses reliese date to the same as roll with it and thats where the britpop war (1995)began. Who was gonna sell more singles? Blur won and peformed in the top of the pops where Alex James wore a oasis t-shirt. Graham wanted to jump out of a window at this time because he couldnt handle the popularity. Damon was the one who convinced him out of it. The band later made Blur-self titled where damon admitted to using drugs in the song beatlebum. Blur-self titled is also when the band first became succsesfull in America with one of their well known songs Song 2. The song was made complitly by accident. It was when the band was showing the record company what they did and FOOD loved it.

The band ran away to raykravic (sorry for the bad spelling) and started making 13 (my favroute album) the album is mostly about the breakup between Damon and Justiene (once again sorry) and drugs. They ran away to iceland to escape the 'britpop' themonimon they began. The album cover contains a piainting called the apprentice by Graham Coxton. 13 is mostly a alternative rock album taken when Graham showed it to Damon. The album think tank was when Graham left because he couldnt handle it. In somme of the some you can make out Damon wanting Graham back (sweet song). Then the band split up Damon started working on gorillaz and blur was left alone.

The magical whip is when the band came back together. Sorry i dont know much about this album. I belive the song my terrecota heart is where Damon thanks graham that hes back and says it was the worst time of his life.

The ballard of the darren (2023) is one of there more recent works. After 8 years the band finally came together the album was created because of damons breakup with his wife. It was when the band played at wembly for the first time after some run up shows. A few weeks before the wembly show dave broke his leg and the band where reluctant of continuing the show. Spoiler they continued it. After the show damon stated that the band wont get together for another few years :(. Currently: Damon went to India to meet up with Jamie to make another gorillaz album Alex is continuing his cheese festival Dave failied as a govener? in Labor (south Sussex) Graham is continuing his work with the Waeve with city lights.
